BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE QUESTIONS...

Submission FAQs

Where will my artwork be seen?

You will be displayed in our physical art gallery at:

Ebb & Flow Boutique Gallery, 326 Tingal Road, Wynnum 4178 and online at: ebbflow.com.au

You will need to collect your work if it doesn't sell during the 30 day exhibition within 7 days of close but it will remain online in our online stockroom for up to 12 months (unless sold prior).

How do I submit my artwork?

To submit your artwork for consideration in any of our exhibitions, please read the detailed submission guidelines for each exhibit. Then:

  1. Complete the correct submission form
  2. Upload high-resolution images of your artwork following the specifications.
  3. Pay any submission fees.
  4. Once we have confirmed your entry, we will supply more details for delivery etc.

The online portal is designed to be user-friendly and intuitive, making the submission process as seamless as possible for you.

Does the work submitted have to be available for sale?

Yes, the work submitted should be available for sale. That said, if you have a body of work available fro sale and some artworks sell before exhibition, we are happy for you to swap your work for another in the series.

What types of artwork are accepted and is there a size limitation?

We welcome a variety of mediums including but not limited to painting, sculpture, digital art, jewellery and mixed media.

There is also no format or size limitation on entries unless stated in the individual exhibition specifications.

How are the submissions selected?

All submissions are thoughtfully reviewed by our gallery team.

We assess each piece using a range of criteria, including originality, innovation, technical execution, emotional impact, commercial appeal, and how well the work reflects your artistic identity.

This multi-faceted approach ensures every entry is considered with depth and care.

Can I apply multiple times?

Absolutely! One of the strengths of our submission process is that it is a rolling one with different themes and requirements each month.

If your piece isn’t selected in one round, don’t be discouraged - each month offers a fresh opportunity to share your work, refine your vision, and potentially be shown to a new and diverse audience.

Is there a submission fee?

Yes, there is a nominal submission fee for every entry of $40 to cover the costs of administration, selection, hanging and other logistical aspects.

Can I enter the same piece multiple times?

You're absolutely welcome to re-enter the same pieces each month; however, we encourage artists to submit different works over time.

Sharing a variety of pieces helps highlight the breadth of your practice, showcases your growth, and builds a more dynamic and compelling portfolio.

Is there a limit to the number of times I can apply?

No. If your work does well on our walls, then we are keen to build a reliable sales channel for you to sell your work in an inclusive gallery. We aim to provide artists with a way to grow their audience.

What if my work sells?

Well done! We will package it up and ship it to the customer at our expense.

Please note, there is a 30% commission on all sales, so please factor that in when pricing your work.

We will require an invoice from you to make payment.

What is my work doesn't sell?

If your work does not sell during the exhibition then we ask that you collect your works or arrange safe packaging and transport within 7 days of the exhibition closing. We are unable to store artworks past this date due to lack of storage space.
